The Lititz Historical Foundation, in conjunction with the Lititz Moravian Archives Committee, want to help you get in the holiday spirit!
First off is the community Christmas Carol Sing, slated for 7 pm on Thursday December 8th at Church Square. The Moravian Trombone Choir will be on hand and free song sheets will be handed out as you, your friends, neighbors, and family sing holiday classics. Afterwards, all are welcome inside Fellowship Hall for light refreshments.
The next evening, on Friday December 9th, we present “Christmas At Church Square” from 5-9pm.
The Lititz Museum (located at 137 East Main Street) will be open from 5-9pm. Come explore this free attraction, and don’t forget to shop the gift shop. Light refreshments will be available. The museum is located at 137 East Main street.
Next door, timed tours of the 1792 Johannes Mueller House will be free of charge. Tickets must be picked up the Lititz Museum beforehand that evening. Tours begin every 15 minutes, and go from 5-8pm.
Period costumed docents will be located throughout this historic home to answer your questions, as you discover what life was like in the closed Moravian town of Lititz.
In addition, Lititz Moravian Church Square (across the street from the Lititz museum) will be offering free attractions including:
-Free tours of the 1763 Lititz Moravian Coffee kitchen.
-Moravian historian Dale Shelley will be located in the church’s sanctuary, and will discuss the history of the Moravian star every half hour.
-The Lititz Moravian Archives Museum will be open.
-Light refreshment will be available in Eschbach Parlor.
